World Golf Ranking No. 1 Scotty Scheffler (USA) continued to perform well despite suffering a neck injury at the PGA Tour Players Championship.

Scheffler had to receive help from a trainer on the 14th hole during the second round of the tournament held at TPC Sawgrass (par 72) in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA on the 16th (Korean time).

Scheffler sat on a simple chair and received a massage from the trainer before continuing the game.

Schaeffler participated in six competitions, including The Sentry, the season’s opener, and left an outstanding record of ranking in the top 20 in all of them, including winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week.

Schaeffler, who is considered a strong candidate to win this week’s Players Championship, ranked high with a total of 8 under par 136 strokes in the first and second rounds.

In an interview with the PGA Tour after completing the second round, Scheffler said, “I felt something in my neck when I teed off on the 12th hole, and from then on I had a hard time turning the golf club back.”

He confessed, “I felt like I had relaxed a little after receiving treatment (at the 14th hole), but most of the time I had trouble maintaining the distance between the club and my body.” 섯다
