Gomi Yota scored a wedge goal in the 29th minute and Hino completed his multi-goal performance with an early victory celebration in the 41st minute. Hong Kong, coached by Jørgen Andersen (NOR), who has previously managed the North Korean national team and K League One side Incheon United, failed to capitalize on the momentum of reaching the men’s soccer quarterfinals for the first time at an Asian Games and were pushed into the bronze medal match.
