The KT Wiz avenged their loss a day earlier with a sweep of the KIA Tigers.
KT won 13-2 against KIA at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju on Sunday. The batting lineup scored three runs in the first inning to take the pressure off starter Uhm Sang-baek. They widened the gap with three runs in the third inning, and scored consecutive runs in the fourth through sixth innings to take the lead. Starting pitcher Uhm Sang-baek pitched a scoreless sixth inning to help secure the win. Kia’s head was down as James Nail pitched a season-low 3⅔ innings amid fielding errors, and the bats failed to capitalize on Uhm’s approach. KT improved to 51-2-53, while KIA fell to 62-2-43.
KT struck first in the first inning. After leading off with a single by Rojas, the bases were loaded when Kang Baek-ho’s fly ball to center field was missed by Kia’s Park Jung-woo, and Rojas scored on a ground ball by Jang Sung-woo to take the lead. Oh Jae-il followed with an RBI single to make it 3-0.
The bats were on fire in the top of the third inning.
After a leadoff single to left by Oh Jae-il, KT scored a run on back-to-back singles by Kim Min-hyuk and Hwang Jae-gyun, but when Kim tagged out to third baseman Kim Do-young on a grounder to shortstop, the throw to first got away. 토토사이트 Shin Bong-ki grounded into a fielder’s choice, but Shim Woo-jun followed with a two-run double to extend the lead to 6-0.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Kia had back-to-back singles by Park Chan-ho and Kim Do-young and a walk by Lee Woo-sung, but Kim Sun-bin was stranded on second base on a foul fly. The bottom of the fifth inning, they were unable to show any decisiveness, as Kim Do-young struck out and Na Sung-beom grounded into a double play with the bases loaded after Park Chan-ho singled and Seo Gun-chang walked.
KT finally drove in a run in the top of the sixth inning.
After a walk to Kim Min-hyuk against Kia’s third pitcher Choi Ji-min, Hwang Jae-gyun doubled to left-center to score one run. A single up the middle by Choi Jae-dae, KT added another run when Rojas hit a two-run double with runners on first and second after a single by Shim Woo-joon to extend the lead to 13-0.
After Uhm Sang-baek pitched a scoreless sixth inning, KT turned to its bullpen in the seventh. Kia scored a run in the bottom of the seventh off KT’s Woo Kyu-min on a bases-loaded walk to Seo Gun-chang and back-to-back singles by Hong Jong-pyo and Lee Chang-jin. However, Choi Won-joon struck out and Lee Woo-sung grounded out to end the threat. KT closed out the eighth inning. Kia had to settle for one more run in the top of the ninth when Lee Chang-jin hit a solo shot.
