Korea Women’s National Basketball Team sets its sights on the Basketball World Cup.
The Korea Basketball Association (KBA) on Tuesday convened 11 members of the coaching staff, support staff and players for an intensive training session to prepare for the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup Qualifiers.

After a four-team, four-group qualifying round, the top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout round.
Four teams from Group A (Mali, Czech Republic, South Korea, and Venezuela), four teams from Group B (Mexico, Montenegro, New Zealand, and Mozambique), and eight teams from Group C (four teams from Group C and four teams from Group D) will play in Mexico, while the remaining eight teams will play in Rwanda. The winner of each tournament will earn a spot in the final World Cup qualifiers.
