Samsung Lions catcher Kang Min-ho is just two games away from breaking former LG Park Yong-taek’s KBO record of 2,237 games played in the league.
Kang Min-ho joined Lotte in 2004 and made his debut on September 19 of that year against Sajik Hyundai. From 2005 onward, he began to receive regular playing time and reached the 1,000-game mark on August 8, 2013, 10 years after his league debut, against Jamsil LG, and the 2,000-game mark on April 30, 2022, against Gwangju KIA, becoming the 15th player in history to do so.
She has played more than 100 games in all but three of her 20 seasons in the KBO, demonstrating the responsibility and steadiness of a stay-at-home mom who represents her team and the league.

The KBO will honor Kang with a commemorative award in accordance with its recognition policy if he reaches the record for most games played.
