The president of Brazilian club Paumeiras has strongly denied Neymar’s transfer rumors.
In an interview with Brazilian media outlet UOL on Sunday (KST), Paumeiras president Leila Pereira said, “Neymar is not joining Paumeiras. The club is not a medical department. I want full strength as soon as I can play tomorrow. I’m not going to sign a player who can’t play.”
Neymar in action in Spain and France. Having achieved so much in Europe, Neymar made a surprise move to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal ahead of the start of the 2023-24 season to “challenge” himself in Asia. 사설 토토사이트 Neymar’s transfer fee was a whopping €100 million (approximately KRW 143 billion).
From his debut, Neymar’s impact was intense. Coming off the bench against Aliyadh SC, Neymar had one assist and a penalty kick in 30 minutes of action, helping his team to a 6-1 win.
But Neymar’s performances didn’t stop there. In October of last year, Neymar was declared out for the season after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in a match against Uruguay in the A-Match.
A year later, Neymar is back and he’s injured again. On May 5, after coming on as a substitute in the fourth leg of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League Elite (ACLE) League stage of the 2024-25 season, Neymar left the field in excruciating pain. The injury could keep him out of action for up to six weeks.
The relationship between Neymar and Al Hilal is now in crisis. Al Hilal has announced that it is seeking to terminate Neymar’s contract next January. Neymar has also been linked with a move away from his hometown club Santos, Flamengo, and Pau Meiras, as well as Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami.
Neymar’s new challenge: Saudi Arabia, where he failed miserably. Ignored in his home country, Neymar’s future is still up in the air.
